How to petition Oothcaloga Lodge No. 154

Becoming a Mason

What Freemasonry Asks

Freemasonry is open to men of good character who believe in a Supreme Being and wish to grow through fellowship, study, and service.

01

Meet a Member

Get to know a member of the Lodge, or reach out directly — a brother will be glad to talk with you about the Craft.

02

Submit a Petition

Complete a petition for membership, which is presented to the Lodge and reviewed by an investigating committee.

03

Lodge Vote

The Lodge votes on the petition at a stated meeting following the investigation.

04

Receive the Degrees

Upon acceptance, candidates progress through the three degrees of Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, and Master Mason.

Placeholder process — confirm the exact steps, fees, and timeline with the Lodge Secretary, and add a downloadable petition form if the Lodge has one.

Becoming a Freemason means committing to bettering yourself, your community, and the world — a lifelong journey of self-improvement, brotherhood, and service to others.
